Miluim Le High-Tech: From Service to Success in Israel’s Tech Industry
When thousands of Israeli reservists returned home after hundreds of days defending their country, they encountered an unexpected reality: careers put on hold, job interviews canceled, calls unanswered, and in some cases, being fired from their jobs.
From this painful reality, Miluim Le High-Tech was born. A fully volunteer-driven initiative ensuring that those who protected Israel do not lose their professional future in the process.
The program supports more than 3,000 reservists through a comprehensive ecosystem of opportunity, in partnership with Israel’s leading tech companies, including Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Fiverr, and many more. It offers professional workshops and meetups hosted at top tech firms, providing interview preparation, technical simulations that mirror real hiring processes, and dedicated hiring pathways. The program also works with recruiters and HR leaders to raise awareness of the unique challenges faced by reservists returning to civilian life.
Through specialized training and reskilling programs, Miluim Le High-Tech helps bridge the professional gaps created by repeated absences for military duty. Led by reservists themselves alongside senior volunteers from Israel’s tech industry, the initiative has already helped thousands rejoin, or remain active in, the workforce, while strengthening the connection between Israel’s defenders and its innovation economy.
