This Privacy Policy explains how [Shoresh Fund] (the "Association", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information about individuals in connection with its activities and projects, including through its website and any online services, donation platforms or forms it operates (together, the "Services").

  2. By using the Services or providing personal information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, as updated from time to time, in accordance with applicable law in Israel and, where relevant, applicable law in the United States.
     

Who we are

  1. Shoresh fund is a non‑profit organization established under the laws of the State of Israel and operating since 2021. The Association’s purpose is to empower, promote and enhance the identity and resilience of the State of Israel and to advance social repair within Israeli society. The Association initiates, establishes and operates projects that support the overarching goal of strengthening the resilience and cohesion of Israeli society.
     

  2. The Association’s website is not intended to be used in connection with direct services to end‑beneficiaries and does not contain information identifying beneficiaries. The primary user audience of the website consists of partners, including donors, social entrepreneurs and project leaders who collaborate with the Association.

  1. Voluntary provision of information and consent
    You are under no legal obligation to provide us with your personal information. If you choose to do so, you agree to do so voluntarily and with your consent.   • To operate, maintain, and improve our website and online Services, including ensuring security, conducting analytics, and preventing misuse or fraud.  

  • To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including those applicable in Israel and, when relevant, in the U.S., such as reporting, bookkeeping and tax requirements.

  • To enforce our terms, protect our rights, and defend against legal claims.

  • With trusted external service providers: These are third-party companies that help us manage our operations, such as website hosting (e.g., Wix), donation platforms (e.g., J Give), email services, payment processors, and/or analytics tools. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.
     

  1. Via donation platforms: When you donate money, you are redirected to a third-party online donation platform (For English-speaking users, this may include a U.S.-based donation platform). Any personal information collected during the donation process by the donation platform will be handled directly by that platform, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
     

  2. To prevent violations or harm: In situations where we suspect a breach of our website's terms, illegal activities (or attempts thereof) related to the website, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm to you, your property, or that of a third party.
     

  3. Joint fundraising campaigns: If we collaborate on fundraising campaigns with third-party organizations, any personal information collected as part of the campaign may be shared with the campaign partner and its subprocessors (if any), exclusively for the purposes of the campaign and in compliance with applicable law.

 

International transfers

  1. As an Israeli association, most of our data processing occurs within Israel. However, some personal information may be transferred to, stored and/or processed in other countries, where our service providers, partners or servers may be located.

 

Data retention

  1. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Policy, including for the duration of our relationship with you; as required under the relevant laws (including bookkeeping, tax, audit, and other reporting obligations); and for the period during which claims may be asserted in connection with our activities, in accordance with applicable limitation periods in Israel and, where relevant, the United States.
     

  2. Upon expiration of these periods, personal information will be deleted, anonymized, or otherwise handled in accordance with our internal retention policies and applicable legal requirements.

 

Children

  1. Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If we become aware that we may have collected personal information from a child without parental approve, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

 

Security

  1. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed, but we work to ensure a level of security appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks involved.

  1. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements and/or the operation of our projects. The "Last updated" date at the top of the policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be highlighted in a suitable manner, and, where required by law, we will seek your consent to such changes.
