Our Story
Israel is facing unprecedented challenges: widening gaps in social resilience, a growing erosion of trust between communities, deepening polarization that is fraying the fabric of shared life, and national systems struggling to respond to complex, interconnected problems. Addressing this reality requires new and courageous thinking that challenges familiar paradigms and advances solutions that go to the root of the problem — Shoresh in Hebrew.
The founders of Shoresh Fund — Chen Amit, Matan Yaffe, and David Sherez — set out to change the rules of the game. They recognized that outstanding entrepreneurs and high-potential initiatives are often held back by technical, legal, and logistical barriers. They saw how each entrepreneur is forced to start from scratch, without infrastructure and without the capacity to generate meaningful impact at scale.
They asked a simple but powerful question: what would happen if we connected initiatives operating along the same strategic vector and created a shared force capable of moving the needle at the national level?
